On the other side of the Atlantic Sky Sports will take up the broadcasting mantle. This will be Team Woods’s fifth such appearance in the family tournament. Here is how they have performed before.

Team Woods at the PNC Championship – a re-look

Tiger Woods dubbed this family outing, as the ‘fifth major’ of his schedule. It has become increasingly rare to spot the former world no.1 on the greens. After failing to keep his a-tournament-a-month promise, the 48-year-old accepted that his body wasn’t PGA Tour ready yet. In this circumstance, the PNC Championship has become a welcome break for him, along with his countless fans.

Can Charlie Woods outshine his legendary dad at the PNC Championship this year?

Have an interesting take?

Last year, team Woods settled for a T5. But the key highlight was Charlie Woods’s monster drive and nifty chip-ins. A year later, senior Woods will once again bank on his teenage son’s prowess. For the record, they are yet to sniff victory here. But in 2021, only in their second-ever appearance, the duo rallied to a second spot thanks to a whopping 11 birdies on the final 18 holes.

Team Woods is generally paired with Justin Thomas and his dad, Mike, at the PNC Championship. However, in their absence, it is reasonable to assume that the duo might be paired with another family friend, Fred Couples. The PNC Championship will start on December 21. The tee times are yet to be released.
