Watch: The Iconic John Daly Tee Shot Off a Beer Can

John Daly’s on-course charm and personality always warrant a fun time. While his game commands attention on its own, certain antics on the course bring along some extra special entertainment. It could be a vibrant, printed pant, or Daly shooting off a can of beer.

Back in 2008, Daly played at Warwick Hills in Grand Blanc. The highlight, however, was Daly shooting the ball placed on top of a beer can.

In the clip shared, Daly makes the shot with confidence, while also knocking off the beer can. Unsurprisingly, the beer flows out with force, while fans cheer and clap for Daly. Interestingly, Kid Rock was Daly’s pro-am partner for that event.

Fans in the comments were happy as well. Many pointed out the happy vibe from the clip, where everyone seems delighted. A fan who was there personally also commented, referring to the whole event as empty. “But let me tell you, it works better with an empty can,” he added. “You don’t get the resistance of a full can swinging through the ball!”

Certain fans also called it the best video on the internet for some time. After all, one does not get the chance to watch John Daly shoot with a beer can in front of him very often. Furthermore, fans always seem to appreciate Daly, both for his game and the way he clicks with his audience.

Daly repeated the beer can shot in 2017

Of course, the earlier video comes from a younger Daly. However, he even recreated the shot once again in 2017 while at Myrtle Beach for a fundraiser.

Though the base was the same, there were slight alterations made. Daly not only shot off the beer can but then proceeded to chug it down. What remained constant in both videos were the cheers. Fans showed the same amount of love, clapping for Daly as he completed the shot.

If that was not enough, Daly made the shot while barefoot.

Daly is currently playing the Cologuard Classic at the Omni Tucson National – Catalina Course. He last played at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai, where he finished T27. Though Daly has been around for decades now, his charm has been a constant on the course. Not only does he have a good grip on his game, the 55-year-old never fails to entertain fans in a way no one else could.
