Rahm disagreed with McIlroy’s comments about the new OWGR system

In a recent interview, McIlroy expressed his views on how the updated OWGR system was the “fairest system” in the world of golf. In support of his claims, he explained that the number of points is decided based on field strength. However, Jon Rahm recently seemed to disagree with the golfer’s perspective.

In his reaction to the new OWGR rules, Rahm said that the new system was laughable. “I understand what they are trying to do with the depth of field, but having the best players in the world automatically makes the tournament better,” Rahm said. Therefore, according to him, the RSM Classic is a smaller tournament in comparison to the DP Tour event. However, despite both their perspectives on the situation, fans had their own understanding of the new system.
