John Daly is one of the most carefree golfers in the world. His fans know him more for his colorful pants than his game on the field. Daly is an old friend of NBA legend Charles Barkley. But did you know that there was a time when Daly made Barkley nervous by placing him on a call with Donald Trump?

John Daly made Charles Barkley talk to Donald Trump

John Daly has great relationships with most big names, including former POTUS Donald Trump. However, there was a time when Daly was on a phone call with the ex-President and decided to hand over the phone to his friend Barkley. “I would love to. I appreciate it, Mr. President.” Barkley said on the phone.

At first, it was not clear what the short conversation between the two was about. But later it turned out that Trump was extending an invitation to the “NBA on TNT” analyst. However, there was another interesting and rather controversial conversation between Daly and the former President in March.

Things got a little spicy in their previous conversation after Daly posted a video of his phone call with Trump. The former US President was seen talking about how he “got along great” with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Donald Trump was heard saying that he would “hit Moscow” if Putin ever crossed the line with the United States. It was at the time when Putin had invaded Ukraine.

Why could John Daly not enter the LIV Golf league?

John Daly was recently on an episode of the Piers Morgan Uncensored show, where he got candid about his conversation with Greg Norman. “I begged Greg Norman to let me be on the LIV tour,” Daly claimed. However, he was denied to enter the league. On being asked about the reason, Daly said that he was too old.

LIV Golf has surprisingly been successful in bringing out the most talented players from the PGA Tour to join the new league. However, it is not clear if Norman would let any new players join this year.
