College GameDay is a big pre-game celebration for college football and is a loud and happy affair. This week on Saturday, ESPN’s College GameDay got its own touch of golf. Harris English, who very recently won the Ryder Cup with Team USA, was announced as the celebrity guest picker for the show taking place in Athens, Georgia.
Team USA had secured a historic 19-9 win over the Europeans, and their win is still being celebrated by fans. The announcement was also made in style, with teammates joining in.

The crowd here though might be louder and will probably have an extremely different vibe than the Ryder Cup. English, as per reports, is the guest picker for a game between the two unbeaten SEC teams Georgia and Arkansas.

The four-time PGA Tour winner brought along his US Team bag. As a highlight, he pulled out the Ryder Cup trophy and showed it to the fans. That being said, English (obviously) chose Georgia to win.
How was Harris English’s GameDay appearance announced?
English’s GameDay announcement was made in a nice video that featured his Ryder Cup teammates and captain. In the video, Phil Mickelson, Bryson DeChambeau, Collin Morikawa, and Justin Thomas puff on a cigar. Koepka appears with a paper bag on his head. It is meant to make fun of his own alma mater (Florida).
