Golf has some ethics and a few complicated rules. One of which is fixing a pitch mark on the green. However, a few golfers do not repair pitch marks properly. Therefore, it creates a problem for players while putting. Hence, Dustin Johnson recently shared the best technique to fix pitch marks on the green.

The pitch mark usually occurs on the green when the ball lands on the green from far with an iron. Moreover, it can also appear because of the spikes on the shoes of a few players. Therefore, if they aren’t repaired accurately and can damage the green. Dustin Johnson said he corrects every pitch mark that he sees in the green on the PGA Tour.

DJ is probably one of the best with the pitch mark repair on the PGA Tour. He says most of the time even professional golfers do it the wrong way. They dig it first and then tap it in, which doesn’t usually fix it accurately. He says tapping the mark first and then digging it is imperative as this will make it settle in perfectly with the green.

Dustin Johnson misses the cut at the RBC Heritage

Dustin has been struggling a little bit with his form in the last year or so. He hasn’t won an event on the PGA Tour since the 2020 Masters. Moreover, the previous year DJ had a terrible run. But thankfully, this year, he is getting those close top 5 and top 10 finishes. However, he is yet to cross the finish line since November 2020.
This week Johnson missed the cut at the RBC Heritage in Harbour Town Golf Links. He remained +1 after 36 holes while the cut line came in at even par. Furthermore, he had a decent week at the Masters as he finished T12 for the event, with Scottie Scheffler winning the green jacket.

Additionally, Dustin has lost his top spot and is currently 9th in the OWGR. And with this missed cut at the RBC Heritage this week, he might just go out of the top 10 OWGR.
