As the U.S. Open commences next week, a visual from the Country Club seems to intimidate the players ahead of the Major. But as far as the hype for the tournament is concerned, the video will only make the fans more excited for a stirring competition.

The competition for the superior Golf Tour in the sport is currently running high ever since the emergence of LIV Golf. PGA, which has been a solitary Tour for the past 92 years, now has a competitor.

However, with the U.S. Open approaching, golfers from both Tours will have the opportunity to exhibit their talents, while representing their Tours. A new video has emerged from the Country Club which shows how even a slight mistake can ruin a round for a player.

The video published by Golf Digest shows how difficult the 9th hole will be at the 2022 U.S. Open. Whether it’s the putting or the tee shot, everything must be perfect.

The 9th hole of the Country Club is depicted in this video. The ball doesn’t seem to grab the grip as it keeps rolling through the grass into the lake.

This sets a perception in the mind of each golfer participating in the Major of how difficult it is going to be on June 16. Along with the soft grass, the speedy winds of Brookline will also be a major factor. The precision of each shot will be a key element to stay consistent in the U.S. Open.

The toughest holes at The Country Club

Compared to the previous venues of the U.S. Open, Country Club is not the most difficult one. However, the Club does have a few holes that are tough enough to ruin a player?s evening.

It is very hard for a golfer to score birdies in the first four holes. Apart from the 2nd hole, the three have a par-4. The 14th hole in the main course is popular for getting the golfers confused about their next play. But it’s still not as difficult as the 13th hole, which is considered the most difficult fairway in a player?s round.

The Country Club will host its first U.S. Open since 1988 from June 16th to 19th. Players from the LIV Golf will be allowed to compete in the Major as per the USPA.
