Justin Thomas is searching for answers to his puzzling form. The 15-time PGA Tour winner after two back-to-back top-tens at the start of the season, has run out of steam. He has two T12s, but at the same time, Thomas has missed cuts at three tournaments, including the Masters. For the first time in his career, the 30-year-old had to pack his bags early in four consecutive majors.
He is T21 at the RBC Heritage, having closed his third round without a bogey on the back nine. The roller-coaster ride is puzzling, the former Crimson Tide admits. Thomas is not ‘too wrapped up’ in the leaderboard though, hoping that he can recreate the back-nine magic again. But fans don’t share the same confidence in his game.
Patience is the key for Justin Thomas

The final nine holes on the moving day were reminiscent of the American Express. Justin Thomas showed signs that he might undo all that went wrong the past year. The two-time major winner went bogey-free, moving from 2-over at the turn to 3-under by the 18th, picking three birdies and an eagle.
Trevor Immelman opined this might be the turning point of his season. Thomas, somewhat, agrees. The 30-year-old said he played a ‘lot of good golf’ even last weekend. Justin Thomas, instead of worrying too much, is patiently moving forward. What does being patient look like for one of the hardest grinders on the Tour, asked Amanda Balionis on CBS.
“I wish I honestly had the answer to that. I think I’m still searching for that. We all are. The big thing is I try not to get too wrapped up in the leaderboard… I know that anybody, myself especially, is capable of doing what I did in the last six holes.”
JT is still searching.

Although Thomas is keeping faith in himself, fans are not. Netizens are quick to dub the PGA Tour Pro a ‘washed up’ star. Some also feel the 2022 PGA Championship winner should think about his next career move away from the greens.

Kevin Kisner has joined as a commentator and analyst for CBS. The four-time PGA tour winner is juggling between his day job and his off-the-course duties. Some feel it’s time for Justin Thomas to take up the same position. One fan commented, “He’s better there than on the course at the moment.” While another wrote, “Where he belongs. Buddy is washed.” One of the netizens preferred the 30-year-old in the booth rather than the golf course and simply asked Thomas to “Stay there”

Some even questioned why Justin Thomas looks “overjoyed” even though he is six shots off the lead, Scottie Scheffler, who shot 8-under 63 on the moving day. They question whether the two-time Major champion has kept his expectations low from himself. It will be two years since his last silverware at the 2022 PGA Championship.
“That’s a pretty shi–y feeling,” The 30-year-old admitted earlier. However, he also added that media and fans make it bigger than it is, Julie Elion, a sports psychologist told him. Justin Thomas is patient like his buddy, Jordan Spieth. But fans are losing it with both of them.
