The personal life of John Daly has been the talk of the golf town for as long as one can remember. However, no human is black and white, with the fun elements that Daly is famous for also come elements like one where he makes an active attempt to not just build but also further his legacy. Long John has an even longer legacy. His works have manifested themselves in the form of his charity, the 501C3 charity.

John Daly and his work on his legacy
The famous professional golfer’s philanthropic work specifically deals with children and veterans. Having a rather scandalous past, Daly displayed a rather unexpected side of his persona when he came up with the idea to set up this foundation.
The result of which has been clearly illustrated through the works of the 501C3 foundation. Daly’s obsession with his new idea that bases itself on the ground to help people is his locus of attention lately. This has been confirmed by a major key player in his role as such.

The director of his foundation, Rick Leslie said, “He’s just a guy who wants to leave a legacy and he loves these kids and he loves these vets. If he had all his winnings from back in the day, he wouldn’t use it to do anything else but help people. I’m not sure when he came to that epiphany, but now that’s all we talk about.”, according to Golf Week.
Daly’s determination is not just commendable but also beneficial to the masses his foundation is aiming to target. The way the foundation has come so far and helped provide aid to its key benefactors has aided Daly’s legacy and mantra, as well.
The professional golfer lives off the “Heart of the Lion” mantra. This has been illustrated through the Major organization he has set up.

Daly once positively reinforced his son
Considering how John Daly is as a person, a shade of it also reflects on his parenting style. His style of parenting is not the simplest, however, he once praised his son, John Daly II, in an unexpected way.

Even after being blatantly straightforward in most cases, Daly praised his son when he was asked who hits it farther – John Daly himself or his son. Daly said that his son John Daly II hits it further and also appreciated his skills and efforts.
