The CME Group tour championship is striking tomorrow, and fans cannot wait. However, it’s not just fans who are excited about it but also the female players of the LPGA tour. Nelly Korda and her fellow tour golfers revealed their intentions with the money. The CME championship is a professional golf tournament for female golfers.

It is also the last event of the LPGA tour for this season. The championship was earlier called the CME Group Titleholders, from 2011 to 2013. However, the tournament succeeded the LPGA Tour Championship, which played for two years, in 2009 and 2010. Again, in 2022, the CME championship will be played from Nov 17–20, 2022. They buckled all the top golfers on the LPGA tour to showcase their tremendous golfing skills in the purse. Let’s find out the plans of the golfers’ post winning the championship.

What will Nelly Korda and other golfers do with the prize money?

CME Group tour championship 2022 has set the purse for $7,000,000. The LPGA golfer who wins the tournament at Tiburon Golf Club – Golf Course will take a cheque for $2 million. And when such an enormous amount is on the line, it is evident that golfers have plans. When asked what they’ll buy after winning the championship, Nelly Korda replied, “A cool car, Sports car, vroom vroom.”

Australian golfer Minjee Lee and South Korean professional golfer Jeongeun Lee followed Korda’s dream. They want to buy a boat and a car, respectively. Second is Gaby López; however, the place won’t be for her. The grateful daughter wants to buy a house for her parents. She said, “I’d buy a new home for my parents.”

Japanese professional golfer Nasa Hataoka wanted to spread her wings and travel worldwide. She plans to visit beautiful places in the world after winning the prize money. However, the Korean-born New Zealand professional golfer had the most different answer. Lydia Ko will not spend the money but will look at it sitting in her account and be happy about it. She said, “I think I’d just go, look at my bank account and see that $2 million, I’d be like, yeah.”

The CME Group Tour Championship 2022 is the last event of the season on LPGA. LPGA’s top sixty golfers will compete to grab the winning prize money of $2 million. The championship winner will get closer to the end-of-season awards. CME has a $7 million purse, the most oversized purse ever for a non-major tournament.

It was on top, beating the purse amount of the Cognizant Founders Cup by $4 million. However, the $2 million prize money is the biggest prize money amount in the history of the LPGA tour. The winner of the championship will become the Race to CME Globe champion. However, this week’s winner, be it on top or position 61, will be part of the CME Globe points list. And will have a chance to take home the winner’s cheque.
