2024 US Women’s Open: Round 1 Tee Timings and Pairings

The much-awaited 79th US Women’s Open has finally arrived. It will kick start on Thursday, May 30, at the Lancaster Country Club in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Some of the best golfers from the LPGA Tour will compete to lift the Mickey Wright Medal.

With Ally Financial Inc. as the new presenting sponsor this year, the purse recorded is a whopping $12 million. From defending champion Allisen Corpuz to fan favorite Minjee Lee, the 156-player field is going to be an absolute delight to witness.

Who is defending champion Allisen Corpuz paired up with for Round 1?

The field will be opened by Rachel Rohanna, Alana Uriell, and Caroline Smith on the first nine holes, and Sophia Popov, Amelia Garvey, and Kim Kaufman on the back nine at 6:45 am. Defending champion Allisen Corpuz will be playing alongside amateur Megan Schofill and China’s Ruoning Yin at 8:02 am.

While each of the groups will be an interesting show to watch, there are always fan-favorite pairings, and for round 1, apart from Allisen Corpuz’s pairing, there are two more groups to look out for!

Tee pairings to look out for at the 2024 US Women’s Open Round 1

The most voted-for player in the field of the upcoming women’s major is undoubtedly Nelly Korda, who is parked with her friend Megan Khang, and Japan’s Nasa Nataoke. All three of them are ranked in the top 20 of the Rolex list.

While the No. 1 player has won six of the seven events that she participated in this season, Khang has managed to play nine LPGA championships, and Hataoka has played eleven. Nonetheless, neither of them has grabbed a win as of now! They will be pairing up at 8:13 am from the back nine. They will pair up at 8:24 am.

The next looked-out-for pair is Lydia Ko, Charlie Hull, and Jin Young Ko. While Ko is just one win away from grabbing a spot at the LPGA Tour Hall of Fame, the other two are ranked inside the Top-10 of the Rolex list.
