In his long and illustrious career, Tiger Woods has bagged 15 major wins, just three short of Jack Nicklaus’ all-time record of 18. When it comes to Woods’ most dominating victories, however, his 2000 US Open win at Pebble Beach takes the cake.
A then 25-year-old Woods had finished the tournament with a 12-under par total of 272, winning by an unbelievable 15 strokes over Ernie Els of South Africa and Miguel Angel Jimenez of Spain! To date, it remains the biggest margin of victory at a golf major.

She was also the only player in the field to post four rounds below par, much like Woods had done in 2000. For her win, Corpuz also pocketed $2,000,000, the biggest chunk of the record-making $11 million purse this year!

Entering her final round, she was one shot behind Japan’s Nasa Hataoka. She eventually took a 1-stroke lead at the 10th and did not falter after that. Her round, which consisted of six birdies and three bogeys, saw her finish at 69 for a total of 9-under 279. Corpuz was also three shots clear of runners-up Charley Hull (66) and Jiyai Shin (68)!
Not long after the win, Corpuz received an invitation from other than Barack Obama to play a round of golf! Turns out both Corpuz and the ex-president had graduated from the prestigious Punahou School in Hawaii! 2014 winner and LPGA icon West also attended the same private prep school.
