The women in the golf world are once again going to take center stage this week in Pennsylvania. After an unexpected turn of events at the PGA Championship two weeks ago, the 79th US Women’s Open will be held at the Lancaster Country Club from May 30 to June 2.
While Nelly Korda will be eyeing her third career Major win this year, Allisen Corpuz will make an attempt to defend her title. Apart from the interesting field this year, the USGA in partnership with NBCUniversal has decided to broadcast 16 live hours of the Women’s Major presented by Ally on Peacock, USA Network, and NBC. The Women’s Major will finally get the recognition that it deserves this year, with the change in the pattern of live streaming.
Apart from that, NBC will also air six hours of the championship over the weekend. Just like the Men’s Majors, where even the practice rounds are broadcasted on television, this year, on May 29, Golf Central Live From the US Women’s Open Presented by Ally will also showcase more than 16 hours of live studio coverage on Golf Channel and Peacock.

Additionally, to spice things up for spectators who won’t be present on the course, there will also be expanded Featured Group Coverage on uswomensopen.com, the USGA App, and Peacock on all four days.
Mike Torico will also host a Peacock exclusive ‘Golden Hour’, presented by NBC, which will invite Olympic-themed guests to discuss Friday’s live coverage and the race to make the cut. It will also be used as a promotional tool for the Paris Olympics later this summer.
An app called the USGA has also been built by Deloitte for the fans to have time-to-time occurrences of the Women’s Major. It will have a leaderboard Showcase Mode which will allow the users to watch the live streaming on both their Android and iOS phones. All the programs of the 2024 US Women’s Open have been made easily accessible to fans so that people all across the world can witness the best female golf players in action this weekend!
