Not only did he become the first LIV golfer to win a major tournament, but he also got his hands on the whopping $3.15 million prize money along with the additional $1 million from LIV Golf. When asked about how he might plan his much-needed celebrations, Koepka hinted that he might go to watch the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Being the biggest Panthers fan, this was something he couldn’t afford to miss. However, as it turned out, his wife, who recently missed being on the course at the PGA Championship, decided to make it to the big game between Florida Panthers and Carolina Hurricanes. In fact, she also posted a story about the same featuring her husband’s recently earned “souvenir”!

After sharing several pictures and videos about Koepka’s long-awaited major victory, Sims posted a mirror selfie of herself along with the PGA Championship trophy. It was after Koepka high-tailed out of Oak Hill to reach Sunrise, Florida. And it looked like he took his trophy to the NHL Conference Finals – Game 3.

Posting the picture on social media, Sims wrote, “Correct me if I’m wrong but this may be the first time the Wanamaker has been to a Panthers game??”. For those who don’t know, the Wanamaker Trophy is synonymous with the famous PGA Championship trophy. As per records, Rodman Wanamaker, who played a big role in the formation of the PGA of America, chipped in $2,500 from his own pocket to order a silver cup, also known as the Wanamaker Trophy.

As far as the fans could see, Koepka was extremely happy about his fifth major win during his press conference. However, there was another thing that he mentioned being highly excited about. And it was the majorly-anticipated game between the Florida Panthers and Carolina Hurricanes. He has also mentioned how he is a huge fan of the Panthers in his past interviews.
