Last year the total purse for this major event was a whopping 17.5 million dollars. The winner, Matt Fitzpatrick took home a mammoth $3.15 million.

Before him, the 2021 winner Jon Rahm receive 2.25 million dollars. Although, according to CBS sources, it appears that there won’t be much change in the winner’s payout or the total cash prize. Whatever be the prize money, the winner will take home a replica of the sterling silver US Open Trophy.
