That Bryson DeChambeau is close to Donald Trump is not news anymore. But how deep their unlikely friendship is, has become a matter of speculation. The reigning US Open champ was on stage with Trump during his post-election victory celebration. Meanwhile, he has also teamed up with Kai Trump, the President-elect’s granddaughter. Now they were spotted together again. 

DeChambeau posed with Kai Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and Kai’s friend in front of a private jet. They flew in together to watch Elon Musk’s Space X Falcon 9 rocket launch from Cape Carnival. Kai also posted a vlog on her YouTube channel where Musk can be seen explaining the mechanics.  

Previously, Kai Trump was at Shadow Creek during the Crypto.com Showdown. Kai and DeChambeau traveled together from the latter’s mansion. She also teamed up with the two-time US Open champion for a trickshot clip. After the latest image went viral, Flushing It Golf tweeted, “Bryson’s friendship with the Trump family is really growing ahead of the inauguration. He’s going to be part of the administration at this rate!”

That set up a wildfire of rumors and speculation. While no one expected DeChambeau to hang up his club and join politics, they can see in a distant future, the Crushers GC captain working closely with Trump. Others tried to speculate on how DeChambeau got so close to the Trump family members. 

Fans come up with different theories for Bryson DeChambeau’s future role

Donald Trump and Bryson DeChambeau teed off together at a LIV Golf Pro-Am in 2022. But even before that, the Crushers captain celebrated his first US Open victory at the Trump National GC Westchester, in Briarcliff Manor, as Eric Trump played the host. A similar celebration was in order for the 2024 US Open victory as well. DeChambeau then paired up with Donald Trump amid his election campaign. That video went viral on social media generating 13M views. 

Referring to that one user noted, “Following the stratospheric success of the Break 50 video with Donald Trump it’s pretty clear that the Trumps are using Bryson’s reach. Hard for Bryson to turn around and say no. Plus Kai Trump’s own golfing exploits are now going viral and Bryson can now reach her audience too.” Another commented, “His YouTube channel is great for the game. Especially by getting the younger generation interested and teaching them how to play and practice.”

While others were more sarcastic. “They probably want free lessons for his daughter. She is pretty good,” quipped one golf fan. Kai Trump is part of Benjamin School’s golf team. Reportedly, she plays with a +0.2 handicap. In fact, DeChambeau has also praised the youngster’s golfing skills and work ethic. Notably, last August, Trump’s granddaughter committed herself to the University of Miami.

Others were speculating on what role Bryson DeChambeau would play in the administration. Like Elon Musk was handed the ‘Department of Government Efficiency’, some believe DeChambeau will be given a similar role. Obviously, in a golf-related duty. “US Golf Commissioner, DeChambeau,” one of them joked. While another simply wrote, “We’ll take it.”

Well, Bryson DeChambeau has always hailed the Trump family for supporting his career. A role in administration might be a long shot but regardless, their bond is growing stronger and stronger.
