Over the weekend, fans’ expectations for Bryson DeChambeau were through the roof. The golfer had begun his third and final round with a one-shot lead and even twice stretched that to a two-shot margin. However, Gooch eventually caught up with him, thanks to birdies at 10 and 13. Both then birdied the par-5 17th, remaining tied.
On the last hole, Gooch made an impressive birdie to take a one-shot victory over DeChambeau, who finished his final round with a 69. While his hunt for his first LIV Golf title continues, the 29-year-old is currently only reflecting on the positives, as evidenced by his new Instagram post.
