In a recent interview after her round, Danielle Kang expressed her desire to finish the season on a high note. This demonstrates that even when facing challenges, she remains eager to succeed.
Kang is a resilient golfer. “I’m going to try until the end,” she said, when asked if CME Group Tour Championship 2023 would be her last event of the year. She faced a lot of ups and downs this season, but more failures and she acknowledges this fact.
The American golfer admitted that this season has been a unique and demanding one for her. In her own words, she expressed, “I just played way too much this year, and I think the constant — but I had to play because I’m playing not so great.”
Her performance at the TOTO Japan Classic 2023 has not been up to the mark, where she is currently tied for 74th. However, Kang hopes to bring in good momentum and end the year on well at the CME 2023.
Disappointing season for Danielle Kang
Danielle Kang has not had the best year this season. The LPGA pro has only had two top-10 finishes. She has only been able to make it into the Top 20 thrice this year.

Her performance has been in a slump now. But Kang’s year started on a good note with decent finishes at events like the HSBC Women’s World Championship 2023, where she finished third, and the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions 2023, where she finished the 12th.

However, her performance has been on the decline since The Chevron Championship in April 2023. If her standing at the TOTO Japan Classic 2023 remains at 74, Danielle Kang will either miss her cut or have the season’s worst finish.
