It was the opening event for the Ladies European Tour, and Hull claimed the title.

This was back in 2019, the same year that Smith was fighting at IFU 14. He shared a touching post on Facebook, congratulating his girlfriend at the time. “Well done to bubba so proud of her good win start season well done bubba loves ya,” he wrote, referencing Hull’s victorious beginning at the LET.

That same year, the couple announced their wedding, and shortly after, the CME Group Tour Championship winner on the 23rd of September 2019 tweeted about her big day!

Both Hull and Smith posted pictures of each other on their special day as well as in the years that followed. Surprisingly, however, that happy ending is not where the story ends.

Back when the couple was still in their early dating years, Hull often spoke of her boyfriend, who turned into her husband in 2019. As reported by the UK Mirror, she went to watch his match and show her love and support. “Yes, I went to one of his fights earlier this year because I wanted to support him, just as he has been supporting my career.” She also added, “It was pretty cool, and I loved seeing him in action.”

But that wasn’t all. The Pro golfer and her beau have more in common than just supporting each other. They helped refine each other’s motivation and stamina for better output in their respective fields. As an MMA fighter, Smith had certain insights into fitness training that immensely helped the golfer with her swing and driving distance on the links.

“He has been amazing in helping me both with my fitness and my focus on the course,” she said. “He really understands (the components of) sport, which is such a big help.”

The couple seemed genuinely happy back then; however, a lot of time has passed since they were married, and now it seems like their relationship has perhaps taken a turn for the worse.

Recently, several fans noticed that the couple no longer had pictures of them together on Instagram. In fact, around the start of 2021, fans started noticing something was off about Smith’s social media. Around the same time, the runner-up of the 2023 US Women’s Open shared her picture on Valentine’s Day alone.

The post drew a lot of speculation from her fans, but Hull’s silence on any split rumors was deafening. Shortly after, both Ozzie Smith and Charley Hull removed pictures of their spouses from their social media profiles. And now the LPGA star’s Instagram hardly mentions anything about her personal life, especially nothing about her love life. It’s mostly all about golf.

It is uncertain at this point if Charley Hull and Ozzy Smith are still married or not. Neither of the accomplished athletes has spoken openly about it. Many fans have theorized that the couple is either trying to keep their personal lives under wraps due to Hull’s rising fame or that they have separated.
