The weather spared no one this season, whether it be the men’s circuit or the women’s circuit. However, the weather finally decided to smile upon the U.S. Women’s Open. The first two rounds of the event had clear blue skies. The true villain at the Pennsylvania golf course turned out to be the dreaded par-3, 12-hole.
After the completion of the 36 holes, Thai golfer Winchanee Meechai has taken up the lead from Yuka Sao. Meechai is heading to the Saturday round with a two-stroke lead. She finished with an impressive 4-under, 67. But, will the weather fair well for the 156-player field on Saturday?

The highlight of the weather report for the third round is that the probability of precipitation is predicted to be just 1%, which makes it clear that the Saturday round should ideally go uninterrupted. However, the level of humidity will be a whopping 48% and the dew point is 9%.
The sun will rise at 5:38 a.m. and set at 8:29 pm, which should omit any chances of round obstacles due to darkness. However, there will be a cloud cover of 11%, which will enable a visibility range of just 10 km. Well, if players are not aiming for an extra long shot, which rarely goes beyond the range, they are steered clear.

Sunday morning will be the round that decides the final champion of the second women’s major of the season. As per predictions, it will be warmer than the penultimate round, with a 27-degree temperature. And so will the level of humidity, which is predicted to go to as high as 55%.
Although there will be wind gusts sweeping in from time to time with a speed of 17 km/h, that is not what the main concern is. Sunday morning predicts a 25% chance of precipitation and a 45% chance of cloud cover. With big names like Nelly Korda, Rose Zhang, and Lydia Ko out of the competition. Will Wichanee Meechai be able to maintain her lead and win her first major of her career or will someone else lift the U.S. Women’s Open trophy on Sunday?
