OWGR has released the points distribution for the Genesis Invitational. Unlike the other two Signature events, the Genesis Invitational will have a 36-hole cut for the top 50 and tie anyone within ten shots of the top spot. Tiger Woods will compete in his first event without the Nike swoosh on his chest.

Woods, interestingly, can be within the top 100 after Sunday. But for that, the 82-time PGA Tour winner needs to break his long-standing streak of leaving empty-handed on the greens at Riviera. Ahead of the event starting on February 15, take a look at the field ratings and the points breakdown.

The Tiger Woods-hosted event received a field rating of 322.91. The field will include 22 of the top 24 in the OWGR. Furthermore, 15 Major champions, including Woods, will headline the field. Overall, aside from the defending Champion, Jon Rahm, and his LIV Golf teammate, Tyrrell Hatton, all 28 players from the top 30 will joust for the $4M winner’s payout.

The winner of the $20 million purse event will receive 68.54 points in addition to the $4 million prize money and the 700 FedEx Cup points. Last year, Jon Rahm received 67.198 points as the winner. Rahm moved from No. 3 to the No. 1 spot last year courtesy of his Riviera triumph. The second and third-place finishes will offer 39.75 and 26.04 points, respectively.

The PGA Tour’s first Signature event received a 283.247 field rating, and Chris Kirk got 60.004 world ranking points. Whereas, AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am had a field rating of 344.82., with 71.77 points going to Wyndham Clark. Here is the full breakdown for the entire field at the Genesis Invitational.

OWGR has come up with a new ranking system in the wake of the PGA Tour’s announcement of Signature events. As opposed to the 17 or 18 percent points reserved for leaderboard toppers last season, the winner gets around 21 percent of the field rating. Furthermore, two-time winners will also get additional points as per the new rules. Check out the full points breakdown for the Genesis Invitational.
