The 2024 Dick’s Open is in full swing at En-Joie Golf Club! The event has been sponsored by Dick’s Sporting Goods since its inaugural in 2007. The event is on the fans’ list of much-awaited golf events on the PGA Tour Champions. Moreover, the five-year extension for the event was announced on the opening eve, which ensures the tournament will continue through 2029 at the same course. This extension reflects the strong partnership between Dick’s Sporting Goods and the PGA Tour Champions.

In addition to the prize money, golfers will earn valuable points. Each dollar won during the tournament will be converted into points for the Charles Schwab points list. These points are essential for qualifying for the Charles Schwab Cup playoffs. At the end of the season, the top five players based on point standings will share a $2.1 million bonus pool, all paid as annuities.

Meanwhile, Ernie Els will also look to continue his success path on the PGA Tour Champions by taking the prize money home, as he did at the previous two events. He won the 2024 Am-Fam championship by beating Steve Stricker in a nail-biting playoff on June 9; additionally, he won the Principal Charity Classic by a 2-stroke lead over Stephen Ames, where he shot 21 under 216.
