Last year at the Czech Masters, we saw Todd Clements beat fellow Englishman Matt Wallace in a dramatic finish. Clements carded an incredible round of -9, to emerge victorious by one shot on the final day. This bagged Clements a prize money of $340,000 from the $2m overall purse. This year as the D+D Real Czech Masters gears up for its tenth anniversary, the stakes have been raised with a larger purse and a bigger payout for the winner.

Played since 2014, the penultimate event of the five-counting Global Swing, the Czech Masters marks a crucial milestone in the Race to Dubai. Apart from an increased prize money Race To Dubai as well as world ranking points are at stake. For the 10th edition emanating from a new venue at PGA National OAKS Prague, a field of 156 golfers will take part.

Clements will be there to defend his title but will have stiff competition from three Major Championship winners, Jason Dufner, Danny Willett, and Francesco Molinari. Apart from this, nine-time PGA Tour winner Brandt Snedeker and Andrew Martin are also playing. The event started on August 15 and will conclude on August 18th.

There are a total of 3000 Race To Dubai points available during the event. For the winner, there is more than the prize he will be adding to his name. The top spot will get 500 DP World Tour points. The winner also gets a two-plus season exemption on the European Tour and berths into other key events.

With the competition into Day 3, the field has gotten smaller after the second round, and a handful of golfers are emerging as top contenders for the Czech Masters title. With the increased prize money and Race To Dubai points available along with world ranking points, these players will stop at nothing to claim the coveted title.

After two thrilling rounds, Jesper Svensson stands tall at the top of the leaderboard, boasting an impressive score of 65-67-68. This Swedish sensation currently holds the ninth spot in the Race to Dubai, with a formidable 1,345.63 points accumulated from 19 events this season.

But Svensson isn’t the only contender vying for ultimate glory. Northern Irishman Tom McKibbin is hot on his heels, sitting 14th in the Race to Dubai standings with 1,163.95 points. However, it’s his fellow countryman Rory McIlroy who’s dominating the Race to Dubai rankings, with a staggering 3,236.93 points—a whopping double the points of second-placed Adam Scott.

Meanwhile, Nacho Elvira is firing on all cylinders. The 37-year-old Spaniard has earned 1,069 points from 15 events to secure the 18th spot in the Race to Dubai. However, his Czech Masters campaign has been a different story altogether. Despite a 9-under-par performance through three rounds, Elvira finds himself far from the leaderboard.

Just one spot ahead of him in the Race to Dubai standings is Romain Langasque. The French pro is currently tied for 25th place in the Czech Masters.

Update: David Ravetto won the D+D REAL Czech Masters, claiming his first DP World Tour win. Ravetto held off  Jesper Svensson. Trailing overnight by a single shot, the Frenchman, Ravetto hit six birdies on the final day to put himself on top with a 3-shot lead. Ravetto ended with a closing round of 64 and will take the $425,000 prize money.
