Among the most talented players on the circuit, 21-year-old Tom Kim has made an immediate impact on the PGA Tour. The Seoul-born has already claimed eleven professional victories, with a couple of titles won in America.

The talented golfer turned 21 yesterday, which compelled him to make a post on his Instagram account. Interestingly, he shares his birthday with a well-known PGA Tour pro, who allegedly gave Kim a hard time throughout his career.

While still young in his golf career, Kim has faced several players in tournaments across the world. He started out at the Philippine Golf Tour after turning professional in 2018, before embarking on the Asian Tour and the Korean Tour.

Kim’s early success has left him competing on the PGA Tour, where he has evidently found his most difficult competitor. The birthday boy revealed a picture of him and ‘birthday-twin’ Scottie Scheffler on his Instagram post while uploading a video of the golfers celebrating the occasion together.

Accompanying the post was an exhaustive birthday wish from Kim. “21st birthday and sharing it on the same day with one of my closest friends, big bro, advice giver and most importantly who gives me the hardest time in the world for pretty much almost everything,” the youngster wrote in the caption of his Instagram post.

Does Scottie Scheffler really give a “hard time” to Tom Kim?

Similar to Kim, the current World No. 1 has made significant strides on the PGA TOUR recently. The 27-year-old secured his maiden win at the WM Phoenix Open last year, before taking off in grand style.

Within a span of two months and six events, Scheffler won three more titles, including the prestigious Masters Tournament. The victories sent his ranking aloft, which eventually rested on top of the standings after defending his Phoenix Open early this year.

Therefore, it won’t be wrong to say that Scheffler has been a thorn in every golfer’s aspirations, let alone Kim’s. But the duo, who have an age gap of six years, share an endearing relationship, which could bear more witnesses in the years to come.
