The golfers on the list have managed to pull off stunning performances in the previous two legs of the playoffs to make it to the finale. The event is all set to start on August 24 with a field of 30 players in the FedEx Cup Starting Strokes format which was introduced in 2019. The format follows the golfer in the No. 1 position to start at an advantage of 10-under as a reward for ranking at the top.

The event will see the likes of Scottie Scheffler, Victor Hovland, and Lucas Glover headline it as 30 golfers take to the field in the no-cut event. Wyndham Clark and Jon Rahm are two other players who will find themselves in the spotlight as they won a major each this season. Rory McIlroy, who emerged as the champion in 2022, will look to defend his title as he comes in strong at No. 3 with an advantage of 7-under.

The 2023 TOUR Championship has a lot of significance attached to it since it marks the end of the post-season after the PGA Tour Regular season. Moreover, the winner will be allowed to take home a whopping cut of the prize pool along with the trophy.
