The Sanderson Farms Championship is all set to kick off at the Country Club of Jackson, Mississippi. The event is the second of the seven in the inaugural fall schedule after the Fortinet Championship that took place in September. The tournament can help the golfers improve their FedEx standings, which would lead them to secure more playing opportunities during the 2024 season.

With just a couple of days left for the tournament, a lot of golfers would be aiming to take to the course in a bid to come out on top in the second post-TOUR Championship event. Moreover, the event promises an extremely talented lineup, which makes the community all the more curious to find out the various stakes involved.

The championship is all set to take place on October 2. The event will see a field of 144 golfers take on the course at Jackson. The players who started off with the first fall event did so with all points earned until the regular season and the St. Jude Championship and will continue with them into the second fall tournament.

Most of the players seen at the TOUR Championship would not be present at the championship. Nevertheless, the event will see the likes of Ludvig Aberg, the European Ryder Cup star and the 2023 Omega European Masters Champion, along with Emilio Grillo, Cameron Champ, Peter Malnati, and Cody Gribble headlining the same. Mackenzie Hughes, the defending champion, will look to keep his title as he enters the field with the rest of his peers.

One would be able to notice many benefits, apart from the prize money that awaits the champion. The fall tournaments would provide a two-year exemption on the tour along with 500 FedExCup points. Moreover, the profits reaped would consist of spots in THE PLAYERS Championship, The Sentry, and the Majors that call upon the numerous TOUR winners.

The community would be able to make perfect sense as to why the Sanderson Farm Championship is regarded as an important event. But one question still remains after all this: how much are they paying the champion of the tournament?
