After pulling in at the Doha Golf Club in Qatar, the DP World Tour stops at 6400 miles away at Sun City, South Africa. Teeing off at one of the best courses in the African Continent, the 41st edition of the Nedbank Golf Challenge will see the defending champion Tommy Fleetwood go up against the likes of PGA Tour Pros and Ryder Cup rivals, Max Homa and Justin Thomas.
Popularly known as ‘Africa’s Major’, because of the significance it carries in the African continent, the tournament will tee off on Nov.9. Before the $6M tournament begins, here is everything you need to know about the penultimate event of the DP World Tour 2023 calendar.

Since its inception in 1981, the Nedbank Golf Challenge has been played at the Gary Player Golf and Country Club in Sun City. The Gary Player-designed course has earned the praises of golfers who agree in one breath that the sprawling course strikes the delicate balance of being tough and fair.

The 18-hole par 72 course opened in 1979 also boasts a 5km walking trail alongside the greens. Notably, it’s a walking-only course, which means golfers are not allowed to move around in carts.
How to watch the Nedbank Golf Challenge?
After the big money 2023 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, this should be another tournament on your watchlist. The ‘African Major’ will start on 9th Nov with the fourth and final round on 12th November. The tee time for the first three rounds is 9.00 a.m. local time and for the final round, it moves a little ahead at 7.30 a.m.
General admission ticket starts from 300 South African Rand ($16.44) for adults and R100 for kids below 18. However, to witness the final two rounds up close, you need to shell out a bit more. The 3rd and 4th-day ticket costs R350 for adults and R100 for children.
Although, on the official website there hasn’t been any mention of a special access pass as such, general access tickets will also grant you access to a range of other amenities as well such as opening up the Sun City and Gary Player Course to you. Moreover, you can visit the practice range and swing your club with your friends or families.
South Africa is seven hours ahead of EST. NBC is slated to broadcast the tournament like most other DP World Tour events. Aside from NBC, Sky Sports will also broadcast the tournament on the other side of the Atlantic.
