This year, from September 7 to September 10, the P&G-sponsored 2023 Kroger Queen City Championship will begin play in its second iteration. Besides, the event is taking place at the Kenwood Country Club in Ohio. Last year, the winner was Ally Ewing, when the event was still in its inaugural stage.

This year, the field will comprise 144 players, and any of the promised names for the event can be scripted on the trophy. Alongside the title, there’s a hefty purse as well. Let’s find out what’s at stake in this coveted event!

One of the many players who are likely to comprise the field this year, is Charley Hull, the US Women’s Open runner-up, and the AIG Open Championship will see her showcase her masterclass gameplay this year. She currently tops the power ranking list as well.

Alongside her will be Ally Ewing, who will defend her title as she triumphed in this same tournament in 2022. Another one to notice is Rose Zhang; she is an uprising golfer and had four top 10 finishes this year, which included two majors, the US Women’s Open and the Amundi Evian Championship.

But the event will miss out on popular names like Nelly Korda and Celine Boutier. The format this year will stay the same as last year. It will be a 72-hole stroke play event, and a cut after the first leg of the event finishes (which is after the second round) will get you into the top 65. While the scenario might easily divert a golfer, the popular Kendale layout is a tough field to tackle.
