The Amundi Evian Championship, established in 1994, didn’t have major status until 2013. But the Evian Resort Golf Club, which was hosting the tournament, propagated and advertised its name that year. Since then, it has been considered a major, and it is held in France. Now that it has become a major, all the amazing golfers from around the world have come to participate. And this year, it has a hefty price pool of $6.5 million, the same as the previous year.

Celine has a promising career and quite a number of wins so far. She has three LPGA and LET wins each. And, moreover, other significant wins as well. But as far as her luck in the Amundi Evian Championship is concerned, this course has always given her a tough time.
Therefore, in an interview, Celine cries her heart out and says, “Yeah, I think this course is very demanding off the tee… I feel like in the past I haven’t been able to, you know, play that well and have that many birdie opportunities… I haven’t been able to score very well.
I think the fact that it’s in France also having a little bit more extra pressure that I put on myself… I feel like the best way for me to perform is to really not think about the fact that it means so much here and just try to take it as a regular tournament.”
