Pairing Patrick Cantlay with Rory McIlroy truly does seem like a risky situation. Well, that is exactly what has happened at the fourth-round pairings for the 2024 U.S. Open that will soon tee off on Sunday. The two had shared the lead for the top spot after the first day of play had ended and now are tied at T2 with another golfer.

Keeping aside the tough past that the two share (remember the Ryder Cup fiasco and the chaos that ensued?), the field of golfers at the major sure has managed to pique the interest of the community. It thus makes one wonder when the athletes will tee off to claim the cut of the prize money as well as the title of the much-coveted, next major champion of golf!

Although Scottie Scheffler hasn’t had much luck at the U.S. Open, the same cannot be said for the current world No. 3. The Northern Irishman had dished out scores of 65, 72, and 69 over the three days to tie himself at T2 with the likes of Cantlay and Matthieu Pavon. He will, regardless of his history with the American Pro, try to card another amazing display to rake in his fifth major title. Let us take a look at when he, along with his fellow Tour pros, will be teeing off in the tournament, as per the official announcement.

Bryson DeChambeau sure has turned a lot of heads following his performance and showmanship at the 2024 PGA Championship. Moreover, he has continued to do so at the ongoing major, especially with his amazing display of golf that has helped him claim the top spot of the leaderboard after the third day of play.

He dished out a total of 15 birdies over the three rounds while carding six bogeys and a double bogey, the last of which came at the par-4, 16th on Saturday. That’s not all. His scintillating performance on Moving Day at the U.S. Open came despite him being faced with a concerning setback of an injury.

The athlete had woken up with a slight discomfort in his right hip in the morning and had undergone treatment because of it. He requested for a physio at the par-3 ninth hole and received the same at the 11th tee soon after he carded another birdie on the par-5, 10th. One can’t help but look on in awe as the 2020 U.S. Open champ displays yet another scintillating performance in another one of 2024’s majors.
