LIV Golf sure has been fortunate! Over the months, the PGA Tour along with the women’s circuit has witnessed many of their tournaments getting delayed or suspended due to unfavorable weather. But the Saudi-backed league has just seen a handful of their contests being affected like the first-tee Greenbrier tournament being moved up by two hours. Now, with the next LIV Golf Chicago event set to kick off at the Bolingbrook Golf Club, the question naturally arises; will they be lucky this time around as well?

As per the forecast by The Weather Network, the PIF-funded circuit’s event on September 13, Friday, is predicted to witness temperatures as low as 68F in the morning. However, it is stated to increase to a figure of 80.6F in the afternoon with a 20-30% chance of rain, owing to there being a mix of sun and clouds in the sky during the same. The humidity, fortunately, will decrease from 60% in the morning to 47% despite it being hotter in the afternoon at LIV Golf Chicago.

The LIV Golf Pros will, meanwhile, experience a slightly hotter day on September 14, Saturday. The temperature will reach a figure of 82.4F in the afternoon from 69.8F in the mornings. The chances of precipitation, however, will remain constant at 30% with the sky being filled with clouds alongside small sunny breaks. The wind speed, interestingly, will see an increase as it ranges between 16 km/h to 19 km/h in the East direction, as opposed to the previous day, which only had a speed of up to 10 km/h to 19 km/h East.

The highest chance of the weather affecting the competition remains on the final day of play, on September 15, Sunday with there even being the risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon. The wind speed, on the other hand, will decrease by a huge margin as opposed to Saturday with the figures being close to 8-9 km/h.

The day will witness a cloudy sky in the mornings with the lowest temperature of 68F in the mornings while reaching just 78.8F in the afternoon. That’s not all. There is a 60% chance of precipitation during the day with approximately 1mm of rain being forecasted to fall during the same while the afternoon predicts a lesser amount. The golfers will surely hope the event goes without a hitch so that the LIV Golf Individual Champion for the 2024 season can be crowned, despite the 73% humidity in the evening.

Jon Rahm or Joaquin Niemann in hopes of the crown at LIV Golf Chicago

Jon Rahm, the skipper of Legions XIII GC, will hope to clinch the title of the season’s Individual Champion. In order to do so, he will have to either finish ahead or equal to the Chilean pro if they are both inside the top 15 at the end of Sunday. But if Niemann falls down to the 16th or the 17th spot, then Rahm just needs to place himself inside the top 24. If none of these cases happen and the 25-year-old finishes 18th or worse, then the title and the $18 million bonus goes to the 2023 Masters Champ.

On the other hand, if Joaquin Niemann has to emerge at the top, then he must end the tournament with 3 more points than the Spanish golfer. He should manage a top 3 finish while placing himself ahead of Rahm if he is to claim the title. But if the 2-time LIV Golf champ falls down to fourth or worse, then everything boils down to where the 29-year-old falls on the leaderboard. Only one question remains; Who among the team will win the title?
