Senior Tour pro honors beloved golf writer

The PGA Tour Champions have never shied away from expressing their gratitude towards the associates of golf who have passed away. Recently, Bernhard Langer & Co.’s sweet gesture for another famous journalist, Jeff Babineau, had also come to light. They dedicated the 2025 Chubbs Classic to the writer’s career and life and also left a memorabilia for his family. And now, another PGA Tour Champions legend has honored the memory of the late Steve DiMeglio.

Stewart Cink did mention that he will dedicate his 2025 Cologuard Classic performance to the late writer. However, the latest reports show just how the veteran golfer is celebrating the life of the reporter on the course. Teeing off at the La Paloma Country Club in Tucson, Arizona, Cink was seen sporting a ribbon on his cap. The blue colored ribbon had the words “In memory of Steve DiMeglio” printed on it. Apart from playing the entire event for the writer, the blue ribbon also shows how committed Cink is to paying respect to DiMeglio. The tweet of the same was shared by the PGA Tour Champions’ official account.
