Just a day after Justin Thomas and Kevin Kisner’s fantastic week at the Sentry Tournament of Champions, the pair had something lined up that they were looking forward to just a wee bit more. Or so we gather from their very emotional and dramatic Twitter exchange on Monday night as Georgia Bulldogs took on Alabama Crimson Tide in the ultimate showdown for the NCAA title.

A little context for those who logged into Twitter today only to be bombarded with random tweets by the duo (And some by Max Homa)- they were supporting their alma mater teams at the climax of the 2022 NCAA college football championship. Justin Thomas played golf for the University of Alabama, where he placed the first six times for the team. Kisner, on the other hand, studied and played golf at the University of Georgia.

However, the pair was totally invested in the match and probably only took their eyes off the screen to continue their friendly banter with each other on Twitter. Here is how it went-

Justin Thomas and Kevin Kisner’s Twitter exchange

The two kept posting updates and their thoughts on the match, showcasing their excitement that was on an all-time high!

Homa, too, pitched in by expressing his support for the Bulldogs. However, his hilarious reason was, I’m rooting for my friend @K_Kisner and his Dawgs tonight because our other friend @JustinThomas34 is younger and richer, so I feel like Kev could use some much-needed bragging rights. Ur welcome Pards #GoDawgs”

Funnier than this, however, were the replies it got. Touching a sore spot, JT said,Hope you don’t find your divot tool,” while Kisner said, “The game looks like it’s being played on Max’s arm hair!”

However, Georgia, the number one ranked team, massively over-powered their competitors by beating them with a score of 33-18. JT, understandably, was extremely upset at the loss while Kisner was over the moon.
