Michael Phelps is a part of a long list of celebrities who have taken up golf as a hobby. Of course, some of them are more actively involved with the game. Phelps, who retired back in 2016, has always been closely associated with the sport himself.

Over the year, Phelps has also been a part of various events. The Olympic gold medalist has shown a keen interest in golf and also has clubs with his custom wedge stamp.

Recently, the 36-year-old has been under the spotlight for his look at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.

Fans react to Michael Phelps and his new look at the WM Phoenix Open

With a pastel patterned shirt, goggles, and a mustache, Phelps was at the Phoenix Open’s pro-am with a completely new look. Of course, fans had to point it out on social media, while also sharing their own opinions on Phelps’ looks.

Mostly, fans reacted with images of Phelps from before or some other celebrities his look is similar to. Paul Assenmacher and Eli Manning were a few picks. “Gonna tell my kids this was Rollie Fingers,” said one user.

Another player pitcher Phelps was compared to was Bob McClure. The main idea was that Phelps resembled a pitcher from the 80s, who will have nine additional pitches. With his cap and mustache, many fans agreed that the comparison was spot on.

What is Phelps’ golf handicap?

According to the Golf Digest, Phelps’ handicap was 10.5. Furthermore, his Index seems to have gone up by five shots since 2015. Overall, a handicap of 10 or less is good enough. If we take a look at Phelps’ handicap, it could mean that he shoots around 80.

However, recent reports indicate a handicap of 12.
