The 2023 PNC Championship has been a playground for the golf pros and their families to experience competitive golf like never before. From the greens of Ritz-Carlton GC, the 20 teams of 2 will start round one on 16th December.
The two rounds of scramble will end on the 17th, – if rain does not disturb the play– and crown the ultimate champion team. In recent times, the PNC Championship has garnered more attention from the masses, especially with legendary golfers like Tiger Woods and John Daly gracing the greens.
Alongside these two, the 40-player field also has LPGA Tour legend, Annika Sorenstam with her son Will McGee, Nelly Korda with her father Petr Korda, defending champion Vijay Singh and his son Qass Singh, Justin Thomas, and his father Mike Thomas, and many more.
The 20 teams will fight it out not only for the prize purse but also for the prestigious Willie Park Trophy named after The Open’s first winner (1860). Moreover, the event only allows the Major or The PLAYER champions, along with their family members who don’t play professionally, to participate. Thus, only many can play with families from the tours.
