One of the biggest events on the PGA Tour of Australasia is just around the corner. The event is continuing its joint tournament format. It would allow the fans to witness their favorite male and female golfers teeing it up together for different titles, but at the same time and on the same course. The event is scheduled from November 30 to December 3 in Sydney, and it is going to be spectacular! 

The ISPS HANDA Australian Open will end with crowning men with the Stonehaven Cup and the WPGA Tour of Australasia handing out the Patricia Bridges Bowl as the trophy. The four days of the event will be filled with anticipation from the crowd and the sheer dedication of the golfers. The ISPS HANDA Australian Open returns in Sydney

The Australian Open is co-sanctioned by the WPGA Tour of Australasia, the DP World Tour, and the PGA Tour of Australasia. The annual year-ending event will feature some of the best men and women in the world. The event is men’s Open is returning to Sydney after 2017 while the women’s Open will be played after 16 years. 

The field will be of 156 men and 86 women that will include defending champion Adrion Meronk, 2022 Open Champion Cameron Smith, the Australian PGA Champion Min Woo Lee, and many more. The confirmed female golfers are 2022 champion Ashleigh Buhai, Minjee Lee, Hannah Green, Jiyai Shin, Stephanie Kyriacou, Jenny Shin, the LPGA famed rookie Lucy Li and So Yeon Ryu.

Additionally, the Open will also host the Golfers with Disabilities for their Australian All Abilities Championship (AAAC). The women and men will play at The Australian GC and The Lakes Golf Club. The groups of men and women will play alternatively on both courses for the first two days. For the weekend, The Australian GC will host the golfers for rounds three and four. 

For men, the cut will be only made after the 36 holes, unlike last year’s two cuts. For women, the field will be cut to 32 golfers and ties. The event is worth $2,241,309 (AUD $3.4 million). Below is the information on tickets and how to watch.

The various tickets and deals for the Australian Open

  • Four-Day Season Pass: This pass goes for AUD 60 and will permit entry to all four days of the event. 
  • Anyone Day Pass: AUD 21 for any of the days.
  • Weekend Pass: The pass will permit round three and round four entries and is AUD 35. 
  • Practice Day Pass: AUD 10 for both practice days, which are on Tuesday and Wednesday, that is November 28 and November 29, respectively.

The event has organized a premium experience for the audience. The 4 packages are the Champions Club on the 16th green at The Australian GC (AUD 499), the Birdie Package offering 4 Tickets for the Champions Club at The Australian GC for AUD 1,895, and lastly, Bridges Club (AUD 5,160) on the 18th green providing a bird’s-eye view for the last hole.

NBC’s Golf Channel will broadcast the event along with FUBO TV and AT&T TV. The timings of the stream are mentioned below: 

  • Thursday 30th November: The Golf Channel, 8 p.m. EST
  • Friday, 1st December: The Golf Channel, 8 p.m. EST
  • Saturday, 2nd December: The Golf Channel, 10 p.m. EST
  • Sunday, 3rd December: The Golf Channel, 9 p.m. EST
