Darkness delayed last week’s final round of the RBC Heritage to a Monday finish, a pattern that the PGA Tour will see often in the 2024 season. As of late, the clouds have been a nemesis to the events. However, at the Zurich Classic in New Orleans for the first two days, that might not be the case.
Thursday will start a little warmer than the past night, with temperatures around 83 to 84 F. Combine that with 63% humidity and a 60s dew point, and it might feel a bit warmer. However, there will be no chance of precipitation, and by evening, the clouds will be shadowing the sunny day.
For the second round, the temperature will rise, with the highest being 85 or 86 F. The day will be a bit cloudy with a warm breeze. Unlike the first round, the PGA Tour must prepare for an 8% chance of rain on the second day of the Zurich Classic.

Bluntly, probably yes, there is a 34% chance of rain disturbing the PGA Tour event yet again. However, the rain may only postpone the event until Monday, and it won’t be severe enough to reduce the game to 54 holes, unlike the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Sunday will be partly cloudy, with a high temperature of 82F.
At TPC Louisiana, the final round may get more windy, helping or disrupting the players at the Zurich Classic, depending on how it works for them. The evening will see a decrease in the likelihood of rain and the disappearance of clouds. Around 7:00 a.m. CST is the scheduled start time for the Zurich Classic.
