The 2024 Solheim Cup is set to take off on September 13 at Greensboro, North Carolina. One would the event is expected to go smoothly, but will that happen? We don’t think so, courtesy of weather gods. Every fan’s biggest nightmare is knocking on the door of the 2024 Solheim Cup as well. The tournament hasn’t even started and is already under threat due to the inclement weather forecast, and we all know how that ends; delays, suspensions, and frustration. This sure has Team USA captain Stacy Lewis and Co. in quite a knot.

On Friday, September 13, Greensboro is expected to be cloudy with an incoming thunderstorm, as per Accuweather. The temperatures are expected to go as high as 24 °C and as low as 19 °C. There’s a 40% chance of precipitation and a 24% chance of thunderstorms. So, the players can expect a light show in the sky while they are ready to tee off.

To add to that, the cloud cover is expected to be 99%, which will give the golfers a hard time seeing things clearly. The only relief is the low Max UV Index of 2, which is actually a plus as it means players won’t have to worry about harsh sun conditions. However, the wind blowing at 8 mph with gusts of up to 26 km/h could affect the ball’s speed.
