Luke List recently gave an injury update ahead of the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship and the fans were left shocked to their core. The defending champion revealed he suffered from a herniated disc in his neck over the summer and initially tried to play through it. However, after experiencing no improvement, he shifted his focus to recovering over the past three to six weeks. The herniated disc has been bothering List for a while and has affected his strength and overall gameplay. “Yeah, I have a herniated disc in my neck, and it’s been nagging a little bit. It’s nothing that’s like a blown-out disc or anything, but it has affected my strength in my left side of my body, and it’s just been a little bit of an issue the last year”, said the defending champion.
Despite the painful injury, List is adamant about defending his title. The golfer knows and acknowledges the challenges of staying healthy and says that athletes rarely compete at their 100% as adapting to injuries is surely a part of the game. “Most of us out here have some sort of injury or some sort of nagging thing that we’re dealing with,” said the golfer. So do you think he will be able to defend his Sanderson Farms Championship title? Let us know in the comment section!
