The 2024 Presidents Cup is almost here! Top players from all around the world will be competing at the Royal Montreal Golf Club, and no, there is no prize money for the players in it. Then what is so special about the event? Twelve players compete for their countries to make their team win the foursomes and fourballs format event.
The tournament is scheduled from September 26 to September 29, and the two teams, as always, are the Team USA and the International team. It is pretty much like the Ryder Cup, just except for the European team there. The Presidents Cup, for their European team, has players from everywhere except Europe. Apart from the team victory, they also lift the coveted trophy, which is one of the biggest attractions of the event.
The famous American luxury jewelry and specialty design house Tiffany & Co. created the Presidents Cup trophy. It weighs 28 pounds and is spun by a spinner from five sterling silver circles. It was also made sure that all five of the circles had different shapes. After that, the spun components were all put together and beautifully handcrafted into the cup.

The United States has pretty much been a one-sided winner of the Presidents Cup. They have won 12 of the fourteen events of the team play, and have had the trophy longest to themselves. You might think that this leaves the International team with victory two times. But, no, the International team has been able to clinch the trophy just once, back in 1998 at Royal Melbourne.

What about the other time? Well, in the 2003 edition, both the teams finished with a score of 15-15 after a memorable playoff between Tiger Woods and Ernie Els was halted due to darkness.
