Is the weather the real opponent in the 2024 Presidents Cup Friday Foursomes?

The opening round of the 2024 Presidents Cup passed through the Hercules of Mother Nature. According to the predictions, the day was supposed to have thunderstorms and gusty winds, which could cause a delay in the round. But thankfully, Thursday went uninterrupted. After a successful first round, the American team led by Jim Furyk defeated the International team led by Mike Weir with a 5-0.

However, it was just the beginning. With three more rounds left for the event to conclude, what will be the fate of the players at Royal Montreal on Friday?

According to the AccuWeather reports, the second round’s weather will be ‘pleasant with intervals of clouds and sunshine’. The temperature will go as high as only 21 degrees, not making the day too hot. But it might also drop down to as low as 13 degrees. Even the Max UV Index will be moderate, which is 4. The winds will be blowing in from WNW at 6 km/h.

However, there might be wind gusts occasionally, coming in at a speed of 15 km/h. There are no chances of thunderstorms at the Royal Montreal Golf Club on Friday. The only concern, however, might be the 8% chance of rain that might occur. And if it does, the cloud cover might increase to 52%, which is also pretty much alright for the visibility of the players.
