2024 is going to witness the 10th edition of the Meijer LPGA Classic at Blythefield Country Club in Belmont, Michigan. The tournament is scheduled to take place from the 13th to the 16th of June. With the release of tee timings and pairings for the first round of the tournament, golf enthusiasts can check with whom their favorites have been paired.
Big names like Nelly Korda, Lilia Vu, Celine Boutier, and Lexi Thompson will also be competing in this tournament with a purse of a whopping $3 million. Everybody will have their eyes on the world number one, as this will be her first appearance since she failed to make the cut for the third round of the US Women’s Open.

The opening round will take place at two tees. The round will begin at 7.15 am with Jing Yan, Daniela Darquea, and Mina Harigae starting at tee 1. The rest of the trios will follow them at tees 10 and 1 alternatively, as per the schedule:

The list of participants is looking pretty strong, with the best players in the world. Leona Maguire can not be taken lightly; she has done wonders on the Michigan greens. So, the Irish golfer can be a threat to the big names in the sport.

Will Maguire clinch the trophy again?
There is no doubt that some courses are meant for certain players. The same can be said for the defending champion, Leona Maguire, regarding Blythefield Country Club. When Maguire played the course for the first time in 2021, she finished runner-up. The following year, she lost out in a three-person playoff to once again settle for a share of second.

But the third time, she emerged victorious with an impressive 21 under 267. Maguire has one more LPGA Tour win in her bag. This win came in 2022 in the form of the LPGA Drive On Championship that took place at the Crown Colony Golf Club in Fort Myers, Florida. She scored an 18 under 198.
