It might or might not be too soon to talk about the expected winner in this game! There may be a few who can grab the trophy on Australian soil this year, since by the looks, Talor Gooch won’t be defending his title as he sits at 8 under, 6 strokes behind the leader.

Who are the favorites to win?

The Australian Cameron Smith, who stands at T5 at the end of round 2, scored 65. He is certainly the hometown’s favorite, along with his all-Australian Ripper GC team. Smith, a three-time LIV Golf winner, said, “A team victory on Sunday could be even more satisfying than individual success.”

The leaderboard points out another potential winner, Brendan Steele. The golfer has already stolen the show by hitting the perfect shots, raising all the eyebrows at the greens, and sitting at the top with a score of 14-under under his belt. There are a few more who share this list and are tilting heads at the Grange, like Danny Lee in the second position, Carlos Ortiz in the third, and Mito Pereira in the fourth position with a total score of -12.
