In only two rounds, the DP World Tour’s season finale will conclude and crown the newest champion for the 2024 season. For the ultimate DP World Tour Championship, the European circuit travels to the Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai with the top 50 golfers on the Race to Dubai standings. Only one will come out victorious and take home the million-dollar check. This year, the DP World Tour Championship offers a prize purse of $10 million for the 50 golfers field.
And since there is no 36-hole cut at the season finale, it assures that each golfer takes something from the Jumeirah Golf Estates. But obviously, the winner’s share would be the highest. The DP World Tour reports that the winner of the DP World Tour Championship will get $3 million and 2,000 Race to Dubai points to win the DP World Tour’s best player crown. Other than this, the winner will also get 26.70760 OWGR points and 2,000 crucial points to rank better on Ryder Cup standings and automatically qualify for the 2025 edition.
The amount offered at the DP World Tour Championship, though, is nowhere close to what the PGA Tour offered at its finale, the TOUR Championship, where the purse was $100 million and the winner, Scottie Scheffler, received $25 million from it. Regardless, the season finale still offers more than what is at stake at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, where the winner will get $1.242 million from $6.9 million.

Who may take the 2024 DP World Tour Championship title?
Surprisingly, among the top 4 candidates for winning the 2024 DP World Championship, two golfers are from LIV Golf. While Jon Rahm chose not to participate in the season finale, his fellow golfers, Tyrrell Hatton and Joaquin Niemann, were still in the game. Rahm’s teammate, Hatton, already won the DP World Tour at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and was also T2 at the first playoff event, the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. Undoubtedly, he is in the best form and has the chance to win the season finale as he was T2 on the leaderboard after two rounds.
On the solo fourth position is Joaquin Niemann, who won the ISPS HANDA Australian Open when the DP World Tour 224 season started last year. Niemann won on LIV Golf as well in Mayakoba and after shooting 7 under 137, has shown that he is a great threat to other pros. On the other hand, Rory McIlroy is only one stroke off from the leader with Hatton. He is already on his way to win the Race to Dubai standings and become the best European golfer for the sixth time in his career. With the way he is moving, it wouldn’t be wrong to assume that the Northern Irishman will win the season finale.

So who is the leader then? It is Antoine Rozner. The French pro has had an ordinary season so far, but in the last two starts, he posted top-10 finishes. At the DP World Tour Championship, Rozner shot a bogey-free round 2 with seven birdies and took the lead with 9 underscores. Who do you think will take the DP World Tour Championship from these four? Share it in the comments.
