The second event of the Asian Swing of the LPGA Tour is right around the corner. The 2024 BMW Championship is back in South Korea, from October 17 to October 20 at the Seowon Valley Country Club in Gyeonggi-do, and was first hosted in 2019 as a replacement for the LPGA KEV Hana Bank Championship. Soon, it became the official stop for the Tour in Korea.
Last year, a familiar face rose to the occasion to earn her 10th Tour victory and first in the Republic of Korea, Minjee Lee. This year, she will be on the field trying to defend her title, with some of the top players like Lydia Ko and Lilia Vu.
The opening round is scheduled to begin on Thursday as per the official website of the LPGA Tour. The field will be opened by Jennifer Kupcho, Megan Khang, and Albane Valenzuela on the front nine, and Yuka Sao, Ashleigh Buhai, and Ruixin Liu on the back nine. If things go as planned, the first pairings will start testing off at 8:10 am ET. Here is what the final field will look like on October 17:
