Will the top pairings live up to the hype in the third round of the BMW International Open?

The DP World Tour is coming off a high! The Italian Open 2024 saw the German star Marcel Siem emerge victorious after a thrilling playoff. Now, the Tour is at the Golfclub München Eichenried in Munich, Germany, for its next action-packed week at the 2024 BMW International Open. (July 4-7)

After the second round, the Scottish pro, Ewen Ferguson, is leading the charge in the field of 155 players. Ferguson has scored a 13-under 131 with under-par scores in both rounds (67 and 64). And now, come Saturday, fans will have to wait a little longer than usual to see what he has in store.

The BMW International Open’s third round will take place in the trios due to a severe weather warning for Saturday afternoon. Moreover, the round will take place between two tees (tee 1 and tee 10). The round will begin at 7:40 a.m. CET, with the trio of Scott Jamieson, Luke Donald, and Jannik De Bruyn at tee 10, and the only group of two in the field, the pair of Casey Jarvis and Alfredo Garcia-Heredia, at tee 1. Ferguson himself will be the last to tee off at 09:30 CET.

Notably, LIV star Patrick Reed is on the field too. Earlier this year, he performed exceptionally well in the Masters, achieving a T12 finish. Since then, he’s even found a 3rd place finish on the Saudi Tour (at LIV Golf Houston). Last week too, he managed a top-30 finish on the Tour, at the Italian Open (T29). Now, once again, he seems to be all set for a top finish. Currently, he sits at T3 with a remarkable 8-under 136 after two rounds.
