Will heavy rain ruin the 2024 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, or can the players adapt and shine?

The home of golf returns with another challenge for the golfers at the Alfred Dunhill Championship. The event will be played over three days on the Old Course, Championship Course Carnoustie, and the Old Kingsbarns Links and the ultimate round will be a showdown at the Old Course once again. As St. Andrews is notorious for wet weather, will it rain during the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship?

In 2023, the event was reduced to 54 holes because of inclement weather as the third round was pushed from Saturday to Sunday but was finally concluded on Monday, with Matt Fitzpatrick emerging victorious.

This year, the opening day will start on October 3rd, and as per the Weather Channel, the first day will be mostly cloudy, however, there will be only an 18% chance of rain in the morning. The spectators and golfers should not worry about rain disturbing the game at least on Thursday as the temperature would be between 56F and 46F. The wind will be blowing from east-southeast with a speed of 5-10 mph.
