The Korn Ferry Tour has a standard formula for sharing prize money among golfers. If 65 or more players make the cut, the winner receives 18% of the total purse, while the runner-up gets 9%. Previously, it was 10.8% before the 2020 pay scale adjustment. The remaining players receive smaller percentages, with 65th place getting 0.40%. However, there are exceptions to this rule. If fewer than 65 players make it through, or if it’s a special tournament, the prize money distribution may vary.

The tour also reserves the right to make exceptions in unique situations. Generally, though, the standard formula applies, providing a clear and predictable way to divide the prize money. This system ensures that golfers know what to expect and can plan accordingly. With a lot at stake, the golfers are sure to compete with all they have.
