If there’s one thing that defines LIV Golf’s Adelaide, it’s the loud parties and the fanfare that the tour brings to the golf world each year. Like last year, this year fans were expecting nothing else. But something else seems to have caught their attention this time, courtesy of Cameron Smith bringing an animal to attention. Unfortunately, this year our favorite golfers may not be the only ones active on the Grange Golf Club, according to the latest Instagram post made by the golfer via Rippers GC.

In a Twitter post, Red Harrington of Golf Digest shared a screenshot of the same Instagram post with the following caption: “Man I wish I could have made it to Australia this year Adelaide looks like it’s going to be more epic than ever”…(checks ripper insta) “Ya you know what I can probably see more of the action at home anyways.” The screenshot shares information about the presence of venomous snakes, called Eastern Brown, residing at Grange Golf Club. Oh, well, that doesn’t sound good.

Eastern brown snakes are a species of extremely venomous snake. According to the original post, “as protected native animals under South Australian Law, living with snakes is a common way of life in Australia.” Surely, not safe? The post agrees with that. However, it has warned the golfers by writing, “if you see a snake, do not approach it. Move away and watch where the snake goes. Report the sightings.” It looks like our favorite golfers have more than one more thing to pay attention to during the games! This news may also deter the non-natives.

The incident has caused a ruckus in the golf community with some fans finding it amusing, such as “I think the snake is Jay. But anyway … back to The Grange.” While some are concerned as to how the vent will pan out with such dangers, “Haha yeah it’s dogshit advice. Brown eastern brown snakes are hyper aggressive. Source – chased by many collecting golf balls in regional QLD. Certified bast***s.” Best seen between the iron sights of a 12 gauge with buckshot.”

Nonetheless, the tournament will officially kick off on Feb 14, and there’s something even grand going on with Adelaide this year.

Think about last year’s Adelaide tournament. It was huge and exciting. Cameron Smith’s Ripper GC’s first win was one of the most exciting parts of the tournament. It is no wonder that this year LIV Golf has tried to outdo itself. That’s where the best part comes from!

LIV Golf has joined hands with Skycity Adelaide to bring more entertainment to the course. Located on North Terrace, Skycity will serve as an official entertainment venue partner for this year’s LIV Golf Adelaide tournament. Known for its bars, function areas and restaurants, the venue will offer a free Virtual Reality Golf Simulator Experience and a Pirate life pop-up in SkyCity Atrium. But hold on! That’s not all. The SkyCity Adelaide Ballroom will also hold a welcome party for the LIV Golf, which is certainly something to look forward to.

LIV Golf’s Adelaide is certainly a fan-favorite, and what better way to amplify that excitement than an of-course party zone and exciting events? Avril Baynes, SkyCity Adelaide Marketing Director, agreed that the partnership is a perfect fit for both of them: “LIV Golf has been a huge hit with Australian crowds, last year drawing more than 94,000 fans to enjoy innovative experiences, both on and off the course…” Avril concluded this statement by noting that SkyCity will be celebrating forty years of its Casino, making it a special moment for the venue held in high regard in Australia.

With the hope that this year Adelaide will be able to bring an even bigger crowd, we wish the tournament good luck.
