Ariya Jutanugarn

Ariya Jutanugarn is no stranger to victories. The 29-year-old has 12 LPGA Tour wins to her name. This includes two major triumphs at the 2016 Ricoh Women’s British Open and the 2018 U.S. Women’s Open. Shocking as it may be in the 19-year history of the tournament, Jutanugarn was also the first Thai golfer to win the Honda LPGA Thailand in 2021. However, she has failed to win again after her efforts in 2021. Interestingly, this will be the best opportunity for Jutanugarn to get back to winning ways. After all, she will have the home-soil advantage in the tournament. And the 12x LPGA Tour champion certainly knows how to win the Honda LPGA Thailand. This makes her a firm favorite to become a 2-time champion and bag the $255,000 winners payout.

Patty Tavatanakit

Patty Tavatanakit may not be as famous in the community as her peers. But she still knows how to grab a win. And that is exactly what Tavatanakit did in the last edition of the Honda LPGA Thailand. The 25-year-old faced some of the toughest competition at the Siam Country Club Old Course in 2024. But that didn’t deter her from her goals. Tavatanakit warded off the threat from Lilia Vu, Brooke Henderson, Albane Valenzuela, and Charley Hull to win the title. The win also made her the second Thai golfer in history to win the Honda LPGA Thailand. Undoubtedly, the defending champion will have the upper hand going into the 2025 edition of the tournament. It won’t come as a surprise if she becomes the back-to-back Honda LPGA Thailand champion, just like Yani Tseng in 2011 and 2012.

What’s your perspective on:

Can Ariya Jutanugarn reclaim her glory on home soil, or will a new champion emerge in Thailand?

Jeeno Thitikul

What a way to end the 2024 season! Jeeno Thitikul wrapped up the season with a big money win at the 2024 CME Group Tour Championship. The 21-year-old banked $4 million for the victory, the biggest individual prize money earned in the LPGA Tour’s history. Thitikul also won the Dow Championship in June 2024 to add to her short but illustrious career. These victories and consistent performance throughout the season made her the highest-earning LPGA Tour pro in a single season. 2025 has also been great for the young golfer as he has already bagged the $4.5 million prize money from a victory at the PIF Saudi Ladies International. The victory in LET came on the weekend prior to the LPGA Tour’s visit to Thailand. This will definitely boost her confidence before she makes the trip to her home country. Speaking of that, Thitikul will have a lot of fans cheering for her at the Siam Country Club in Pattaya. The 4x LPGA Tour winner might also become the third Mueang Thai golfer to win the Honda LPGA Thailand and grab the maximum payout from the $1.7 million purse.

Lilia Vu

Patty Tavatanakit’s win at the 2024 Honda LPGA Thailand didn’t come easy. Apart from all the challengers mentioned, she also faced the threat from the then-defending champion, Lilia Vu. Yes, Vu was the winner of the 2023 version of the tournament. In fact, unlike Tavatanakit, the 27-year-old faced far more stiff competition from the likes of Nelly Korda, Lydia Ko, and Danielle Kang. And yet, Vu prevailed in the end to lift the Honda LPGA Thailand on February 27, 2023. Going into the tournament in 2025, some fans would have already placed their bets on the 27-year-old to win the title. The 5x LPGA Tour winner might just prove them right on February 23, 2025.

Yealimi Noh

Fans might not have known who Yealimi Noh was before the 2025 season of the LPGA Tourn. But they certainly do now after Noh’s glorious victory at the 2025 Founders Cup. The 23-year-old resisted in a tough battle with Jin Young Ko. The nail-biting contest between the two professional golfers stretched till the last back 9 of the tournament. However, Noh managed to grab a big 4-stroke lead to win the first LPGA Tour title of her career. Now that the first title jitters are out of the way, the American pro will have much more confidence to go in for the second. The Siam Country Club is the perfect stage for Yealimi Noh to continue her great run and win the 2025 Honda LPGA Thailand.

Some other favorites who would have also made it to the longer version of this list are the 2022 winner Nanna Koerstz Madsen and the 3-time Honda LPGA Thailand champion Amy Yang. All these amazing players will battle it out at the Siam Country Club Old Course from February 20-23, 2025. However, due to the time difference, fans in the United States will get to watch all the action live of the 2025 Honda LPGA Thailand on the Golf Channel or the NBC Sports website from February 19 at 10 P.M.
